Description

Techne® Dri-Block® heaters are manufactured to provide safe, dry and constant temperature heating.  Dri-Block® heaters are a source of precision temperature control for general, routine applications and sensitive analytical procedures particularly suited to microbiology and clinical laboratories. They are designed for precise heating of test-tubes, microcentrifuge tubes, cuvettes and microtitre plates. Techne® Dri-Block® heaters cover the temperature range from ambient +5°C to 100°C or 200°C (depending on model) using machined aluminium alloy Dri-Block® inserts as the heat transfer medium. Independent indicator lights indicate mains power, heater action and over-temperature cut-out. An On/Off switch is mounted on the rear panel, together with the mains connector and a fuse holder.

Applications
Applications include incubation, boiling, inactivation, wet washing, sample concentration, enzyme digestions, enzyme activity studies, nucleic acid hybridisations and many other clinical and industrial purposes. Analogue Techne® Dri-block® heaters are aften used used in the Techne® Sample Concentrator.

DB-3 Model

• Temperature stability at 40°C: ± 0.05°C.

DB-3A Model
• Temperature range from ambient to 200°C for higher temperature applications.
• Can hold up to 3 aluminium insert blocks or one 96-well plate block.
• Temperature setting is by a calibrated dial.
• Powerful heater for fast heat-up rate: 30°C to 200°C in just 30 minutes.
• Temperature stability at 40°C: ±0.1°C.
